# Connect to Inkbox with MCP

Connect a compatible MCP client to an Inkbox identity to use email, messaging, calls, contacts, notes, and other available capabilities.

## Setup

1. Open your client's MCP server settings.
2. Add the Inkbox remote MCP server URL: `https://inkbox.ai/mcp`.
3. Authenticate with OAuth when prompted. If your client supports custom headers instead, send an identity-scoped API key as `X-API-Key: YOUR_API_KEY`.
4. Save the configuration and reconnect the client.

## Authorization

OAuth clients ask you to select an organization and identity, then approve a full-service identity grant. That grant includes current and future capabilities available to the selected identity and remains active until revoked.

Clients that support custom headers can instead use an identity-scoped API key. Keep API keys private and grant each client only the identity access it needs.
